Once tunnels to the relay have been established then an IRC client may be connected by configuring it with the following values.

**Example IRC Configuration**

**Host:** localhost (127.0.0.1)

**Username:** <ANY>

**Password:** <NONE>

**Port:** Assigned IRC port

> **HINT: The server also establishes a tunnel to the IRC server running on the relay. This can be leveraged to perform tasks like automatically posting the current status or output from tools running on the server.**

The following example uses HexChat. Set desired user information and enter connection information.
